Cases in the State Court of Barrow County are prosecuted by the Solicitor General of Barrow County.
Felony cases, such as most drug offenses, including drug possession, possession with intent to distribute and drug trafficking, or felony domestic violence charges, such as aggravated assault, aggravated battery, false imprisonment and aggravated stalking, are prosecuted in the Superior Court of Barrow County by the District Attorney of Barrow County. The District Attorney of Barrow County maintains an office in Winder which is staffed with multiple full time assistant District Attorneys.
