A lot of traffic moves through Banks County, with the majority of that traffic on I-85 or Georgia State Route 441. Drug charges made by the Banks County Sheriff's office, mostly as a result of vehicle searches following a traffic stop, are prosecuted by the District Attorney in the Superior Court of Banks County, before one of the superior court judges. Banks County shares a DA with Banks and Jackson counties, typically maintaining an office with one full time Assistant District Attorney present in their Homer location.
